U.S. Coast Guard licensed & insured. Colorado Outfitters Lic. # 2352 Steve Baird’s Profile Steve Baird has been fly fishing for 15 years. I try to catch every fish in the water on a fly. From Smallies and Sunfish, to big trout, pike and even carp, anything that swims we can make eat. I live in Pagosa Springs, Co. where in the winter I am a PSIA certified ski instructor at Wolf Creek Ski Area. In the summer I guide fishing trips under Scott Taylor for High Country Fishing Charters.        I guide both float and wade trips at the Quality Waters on the lower San Juan. I also do trips around Pagosa Springs on private property, fishing the Upper San Juan and Navajo Rivers. I do a lot of teaching during trips. Working on casting basics and how to set up your rig properly for the specific situation. We learn proper knot tying techniques, we practice proper approach and presentation tactics, so that you learn to read the river and get to the fish. Come to the best part of Colorado and lets go find some big Fish.  Scott, We enjoyed our trip with Steve Monday. He is patient, knowledgeable, great coach and good company. I see now why you are High Country after going up to Quartz. Steve knew the water and how to approach the places that should have held fish. He worked hard. We only landed 3 fish, 2 rainbows and a beautiful Cutthroat by Darlene. The scenery and Cutthroat were the highlights for us. Best Richard and Darlene Dunstan
